NETZSCH Participates in the “Rama Dama” Clean-up Campaign of the City of Waldkraiburg
As in previous years, the "Rama Dama" clean-up campaign of Waldkraiburg took place at the end of March. The initiative’s slogan was "Our city should become cleaner". Once again, numerous NETZSCH Pumps & Systems trainees participated in the project.
At the "Rama Dama", which means "we clean up together", many volunteers clear public areas of carelessly discarded rubbish every year throughout the city. The initiative aims at a beautiful, clean cityscape and calls for a responsible approach to litter and waste. Proper waste separation is crucial here.
NETZSCH apprentices join the "Rama Dama" clean-up campaign
During last year's "Rama Dama" in Waldkraiburg, around 1,000 volunteers collected about 30 cubic metres of rubbish in the Waldkraiburg municipal area. In addition to valuables such as personal papers and wallets, the volunteers also found a bathtub, a two-piece couch, car tyres, defective wheels, used oil and lots of glass bottles, metals and paper waste. It takes 400 years for a paper cup to decompose completely and 4000 years for a glass bottle - carelessly discarded waste puts an enormous strain on nature. This is one of the reasons why the NETZSCH trainees decided to participate in the clean-up campaign again this year. Equipped with rubbish bags and tongs, they cleaned the streets and pavements around the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg.
„Every year, I am delighted to see how committed our trainees are to a clean townscape. This is not only a valuable contribution to cleanliness in Waldkraiburg, but also to a sustainable environment worth living in.“
