Advantages of the NEMO® Progressing Cavity Pump in FSIP® Design

Service-friendly, innovative, high-performance: The flexibly usable NEMO® progressing cavity pumps in FSIP® design guarantee you simultaneous cost and capacity savings in almost all industrial application areas.

In addition to ease of maintenance and service, the NEMO® offers you numerous other advantages. We will show you the advantages of our progressing cavity pumps and how to benefit from them.

1. Advantage: FSIP® design allows easy replacement of worn parts

The innovative design of our progressing cavity pump offers you easy access to wearing parts and thus simplifies maintenance and service. This is made possible by the large inspection cover, which provides quick access to the inside of the pump. This saves you time and costs during maintenance. When changing the stator alone, the working time can be reduced by 66 percent. The cover is fixed with only five screws and thus allows you to open it without any problems, even without expensive special tools. All wearing parts can be changed in less than half the time.

Save up to 66 percent of servicing time, the NEMO® progressing cavity pumps in FSIP® design make it possible.

2. Advantage: Robust and compact block design of the NEMO® progressing cavity pump

Another advantage of the NEMO® progressing cavity pump in FSIP® design is its compact block construction. This is particularly space-saving and allows you to install the pump in confined spaces. There is no need for an additional dismantling length, which is necessary to remove the rotor in a standard design. The robust construction of the NEMO® makes it particularly suitable for use under demanding conditions. Thin-flowing to viscous media in various industrial sectors present no problems. In addition, materials with and without solids can be conveyed smoothly. The NEMO® progressing cavity pump is a true all-rounder; even gentle pumping of sensitive media is no problem.

3. Advantage: Easy rotor change of the progressing cavity pump

Thanks to the inspection cover and the iFD-Stator® 2.0, you can easily remove the rotor-stator unit. The stator and rotor are then detached from each other outside the pump. If you remove another part of the power train in the pump lantern, our progressing cavity pump allows you to remove the connection shaft, the cartridge joint and the cartridge shaft seal. The rotor head connection makes it possible to change the rotor screw quickly and the rotor-side cartridge joint. This allows you to change the stator easily without removing the entire pump. This saves you time and money. The innovative design facilitates removal and helps when reassembling the elements. Thanks to the design, no adjustments have to be made. The pump housing acts as a support and orientation. The correct positioning is entirely automatic.

4. Advantage: Progressing cavity pump offers the right joint for every application

We offer the right joint for every application and the most diverse operating conditions to maximise operational safety and life cycle cost savings. You can choose from the following joints:

  • B-universal pin joint
The NEMO® B pin joint is the standard for industrial pumps due to its simple design and reliability. The joint is oil-filled and encapsulated by the NEMO® SM® sealing sleeve to achieve a long service life. In case of extremely high temperatures and pumping media that do not allow the use of elastomers, the joint can also be used without sealing. The joint consists of only a few components and can be easily dismantled for maintenance work.
  • V-bolt joint
The NEMO® V-bolt joint works in the same way as the B-bolt joint. However, to increase the service life under difficult operating conditions, it also has hardened bushings pressed into the bores of the coupling rod and the rotor or drive shaft head. These can be easily replaced during maintenance work.
  • K-joint
The patented K-joint was designed for highly high continuous loads in industrial applications. It is a cinematically precisely defined joint in which torque and axial forces are decoupled and transmitted via different machine elements. The joint is oil-lubricated and is hermetically sealed by two product- and lubricant-resistant sleeves. The additional oil filling between the two sleeves allows you to use it at ambient pressures of up to twelve-bar.
  • Z-pivot universal joint
For effective flow rates or pressures, NEMO® industrial pumps are equipped with cinematically precisely defined journal universal joints in cartridge design. These are designed for highly high continuous loads, torques and axial forces. The joint is oil-lubricated and is hermetically sealed by two product- and lubricant-resistant sleeves.

5. Advantage: Variable, modular construction system of the progressing cavity pump in FSIP® design

The NEMO® pump belongs to the group of positive displacement pumps. It consists of a rotor and a stationary stator in which the rotor rotates. A total of four different rotor/stator geometries are available. The exact external dimensions of the pumps and identical connections on the suction and discharge side for all four geometries result in a modular system. This means that you can make subsequent changes to the flow rate or pressure of already installed NEMO® pumps by replacing the rotor and stator.

6. Advantage: NEMO® progressing cavity pump delivers and doses proportionally to the rotational speed

Another advantage of the NEMO® progressing cavity pump is the speed-proportional dosing of almost any media. In addition to the continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsation delivery, you can thus adjust the dosing accuracy in no time at all.

7. Advantage: FSIP® concept for progressing cavity pump easily retrofittable

The FSIP® design of the NEMO® pump is compatible with the BY and SY series. The innovative concept comprises three stages that allow you to retrofit pumps that are already installed step by step or select the appropriate expansion stage for new installations according to your needs.

  • FSIP.ready
Basic BY/SY pump in innovative casing design with large inspection cover, with standard power train and various shaft seals.
  • FSIP.advanced
