At “Rama Dama”, which means “we clean up together”, public areas throughout the city are cleared of carelessly discarded rubbish every year with the help of many volunteers.

Apprentices at NETZSCH take on social responsibility
The initiative aims to create a beautiful and clean cityscape and calls for the responsible handling of rubbish and waste. Proper separation is crucial here. Last year, around 1,400 volunteers collected almost two tonnes of waste throughout the city, including old tyres, bulky waste and plastic - which can have devastating consequences for the environment if not disposed of properly. To prevent this, NEZTSCH trainees once again took part in the initiative in 2024, as in previous years. Equipped with bin bags and tongs, they cleaned the streets and pavements around the NETZSCH campus in Waldkraiburg. “The campaign sensitises our trainees to the issues of environmental protection and sustainability at an early stage. It fills me with pride to see how our future, the trainees, are committed to a sustainable world worth living in”, says Hans Vetter, director of integrated quality management system.
NETZSCH Pumps & Systems, the global specialist in handling complex media, stands for innovative pump solutions and forward-looking action regarding environmental protection and sustainability. To guarantee that we will be able to continue to do so in the future, it is essential to sensitise our employees at an early stage.
