On the day of apprenticeship, kids and young people had the opportunity to discover seven different apprenticeships and try out the respective areas. “It is essential to us to inspire young people at an early age and show them career prospects in our company”, says Barbara Wieser, who coordinates the apprenticeship at NETZSCH. More than 300 young people and their parents took the offer and came to the factory premises. NETZSCH offers apprenticeships as an industrial mechanic, industrial clerk, industrial electronic technician, specialist for warehouse logistics, plastics and rubber technologist, IT specialist and technical product designer. Whether you are technically gifted, commercially interested or enjoy programming – there is something for almost everyone here.
Wide-eyed & happy faces on the day of apprenticeship
In addition to exchanging ideas with trainees and trainers, interested guests could take guided tours of the production, assembly and logistics areas and the offices on the factory premises in Geretsrieder Straße. All visitors were obviously impressed by the modern working environment at NETZSCH. The future generation could also try thread cutting together with current trainees to build a small bottle opener or immerse themselves in the virtual NETZSCH world. VR goggles were used to present the various pump technologies and their advantages, and entire pumps were assembled, making the young people and their parents wide-eyed and happy.

At the end of the day, those responsible reviewed the day in a cosy atmosphere while enjoying a barbecue and cool drinks. The conclusion after the second day of apprenticeship was highly positive. “The enthusiasm of the children and young people confirmed our initiative. Special thanks go to everyone who supported us and made this day happen for the second time in a row”, said Wieser happily.
