What are your tasks as Global Product Line Manager NOTOS®?
As Global Product Line Manager NOTOS®, my current tasks include coordinating the localisation of production at the individual locations, as we currently manufacture our NOTOS® multi screw pumps exclusively in Brazil. This involves evaluating the local markets through a detailed market and competition analysis, which will ensure the right product is manufactured in the respective regions. Thereby, we can offer even shorter delivery times and market-driven prices. Furthermore, I am working on the “tools” for sales to create attractive offers for our customers. These include technical substructures such as drawings, reference lists, application reports, and software for selecting the appropriate pump, preparing offers and processing orders.
How do customers benefit from the different product lines?
Thanks to our four different pump types, we can provide our customers with the best solution for their applications. Multi screw pumps cover a wide range of applications in energy supply, petrochemical and oil & gas industries we are not able to optimally serve with progressing cavity pumps, rotary lobe pumps or peristaltic pumps.

Technology and applications of multi screw pumps
What is the technology behind the NOTOS® multi screw pumps?
The interaction of two or three screws creates chambers moving from the suction to the discharge side as the screws rotate, causing the medium to be pumped. With the 4NS and 2NSH series, we also have contact-free pumps in our portfolio ideally suited for abrasive media. The multi screw pump is an all-metal pump. It can be used at high temperatures of up to 300°C. Even pressures of up to 200 bar can be achieved with certain pump types. The pump's operating limits regarding medium properties, such as viscosity or corrosivity, can be extended using unique materials and coatings.
Where are NOTOS® multi screw pumps typically used?
Multi screw pumps are mainly used in the energy supply and shipbuilding industries as fuel pumps. They are also used in various applications such as lubricant oil or hydraulic pumps, wherever a bearing or gear wheel needs to be lubricated or oil pressure is generated. Another significant application area is the oil and gas industry, including downstream processes in petrochemicals and tank farms. Furthermore, multi screw pumps are becoming increasingly important in the food industry due to their contact-free operation and CIP and SIP capability.
