During the wastewater treatment, the water ends up in various tanks and pits. Depending on the degree of contamination, salt and sludge are deposited in the basement of the containers. Since the tanks had to be cleaned manually, Arvind Envisol invested much time in this process. In addition to the high time expenditure, the costs were also enormous. In order to reduce both the costs and the time required, Arvind Envisol contacted NETZSCH to optimise the process.

The solution proposed by the global specialist in handling complex media was a TORNADO®rotary lobe pump. “A week-long test run convinced us of the pump’s capabilities”, reports Thiruvenkadam. In addition to the convincing result, T also emphasises the great partnership: “The entire team at NETZSCH was very cooperative and provided us with excellent support during the pump installation. They ensured that everything was set up correctly and worked as expected.”

In the interview, Thiruvenkadam discusses the project’s successful implementation in detail and how Arvind Envisol has reduced the cleaning time for the wastewater tanks from four days to 16 hours.
