Operating Costs

Operating costs or running costs represent all financial expenses incurred by a company during its continuous business operations. These ongoing costs contrast with investment costs, which include one-off payments for specific investments.

Life cycle costs are often referred to in the context of system components such as pumps. These life cycle costs capture all financial expenses incurred during the life cycle of a pump, starting with procurement and ending with disposal. This includes both the operating costs and the investment costs.
