Hose Pump
A hose pump, also known as a peristaltic pump or peristaltic squeeze pump, is a particular type of positive displacement pump used for the gentle and pulsation-free delivery of liquids or gases.
The name peristaltic pump is derived from the peristaltic movement, also known as the swallowing movement, which functions similarly to digestion in the human body. Since the medium only comes into contact with the inner wall of the hose, the peristaltic pump enables hygienic pumping. It prevents contamination of the pumped medium by the pump itself. The peristaltic pump is also capable of handling delicate or shear-sensitive fluids, as no moving parts directly touch the medium. Peristaltic pumps are used in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food processing, chemicals, environmental protection, water treatment, etc. They provide reliable, controlled and precise pumping of liquids or gases and are a popular choice for applications where gentle handling of the pumped medium and high accuracy are required.
