Progressing Cavity Pump
A progressing cavity pump is a positive displacement pump capable of gently moving liquids at a constant flow rate. It is well suited for viscous, abrasive or sensitive media and is used in various industries, including food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical, wastewater treatment, etc.
A progressing cavity pump comprises a stationary stator and a Rotorrotor,Rotors, rotorsrotor that rotates eccentrically. The stator is usually made of elastic or rubber-like material. It has a spiral inner contour, while the rotor is made of metal or plastic and has an eccentric, helical geometry. When the pump is in operation, the rotor rotates about an eccentric axle, creating a narrowing and widening chamber between the rotor and the stator. As the rotor turns, it pushes the pumped fluid from the inlet side to the outlet side of the pump. As a global specialist in complex fluid handling, NETZSCH Pumps & Systems offers you various progressing cavity pump designs.
