NETZSCH Again Improved Its EcoVadis Sustainability Rating
At NETZSCH Pumps & Systems, sustainability is not a temporary goal, but an ongoing process. Being awarded the EcoVadis Silver Medal for the sixth year running, with yet another improved rating, is a statement in itself of this ongoing commitment.
EcoVadis assesses companies worldwide using a scientifically sound framework based on international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.
An expression of responsibility in action

“At NETZSCH, sustainability is not a project, but an ongoing commitment we have made to ourselves.”
“Receiving the EcoVadis Silver Medal once again is more than just recognition for us. It motivates us to continue consistently improving our sustainability performance. At NETZSCH, sustainability is not a project, but an ongoing commitment we have made to ourselves”, said Johann Vetter, Director of Integrated Quality Management Systems. With a total score of 81 out of 100 and a percentile ranking of 94, the global specialist in handling complex media ranks among the top two percent of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the general machinery manufacturing sector. This result is no fluke, but the outcome of structured measures, clear lines of responsibility and an integrated management system consistently embedding sustainability requirements across all areas of the company.
Strong results across all areas

Proven Excellence
Receiving this award once again underlines NETZSCH’s sustainability performance is at a level well above the industry average, which is evident from the scoreboard:
- Environment: 85 out of 100 points – top 3 percent in the industry
- Labour and human rights: 79 out of 100 points – top 3 percent in the industry
- Ethics: 80 out of 100 points – top 2 percent in the industry
- Sustainable procurement: 78 out of 100 points – top 2 percent in the industry
Particularly noteworthy is the strong environmental rating, backed by comprehensive measures in the areas of energy efficiency, greenhouse gas reporting, resource management and certifications such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001. When it comes to ethics, the company also impresses with its compliance management, ISO 27001 certification and extensive measures for corruption prevention and data protection.
Sustainability as an integral part
The results reflect the extent to which sustainability principles are consistently integrated into NETZSCH’s day-to-day operations. As a signatory to the UN Global Compact, the company is committed to internationally recognised standards in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. Sustainable procurement, including a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) code of conduct for suppliers, regular supplier assessments and the integration of sustainability criteria into purchasing processes, underlines the understanding of responsibility as a shared responsibility throughout the entire value chain.
For NETZSCH, this sixth consecutive EcoVadis Silver medal is both a confirmation of and a commitment to consistently continuing along the path of sustainable, responsible corporate governance.
