Dosing Pumps

Dosing pumps, also known as dispensers, are positive displacement pumps delivering defined volumes per revolution, stroke or unit of time, regardless of the pressure conditions at the inlet and outlet.

Various types of dosing pumps are in coupling insert use, including reciprocating, peristaltic, diaphragm, gear, and other positive displacement pumps. Increasingly, dosing pumps based on the principle of progressing cavity pumps are being used. These are characterised by high precision and enable the dosing speed to be controlled without additional measuring instruments. A further advantage is that the dosing quantities can be easily adjusted via the angular degree changes of the drive motor.
