There was a similar atmosphere in the air as on the first day of school on the morning of the 1st September at the NETZSCH Campus. Nervousness and excitement coupled with anticipation and curiosity could be heard as Erina Terstena, Theresa Langrieger, Celina Maurer, Jonas Meyer (industrial clerk), Maximilian Wolf, Johannes Wagner, Cemil Dumlupinar, Jonas Felbinger, Felix Gerstner, Florian Seyfert, Lukas Seisenberger, Tobias Eign (industrial mechanic), Johanna Lanzinger (technical product designer), Leon Winterer and Sebastian Schuster (IT specialist for application development) started their apprenticeships.
Apprenticeship opportunities at the highest level
To avoid losing time, the first topics on the agenda were followed immediately after the welcome by the trainers. The new trainees were first instructed in occupational safety, environmental management and quality management. Afterwards, the training management, the works council and the youth and trainee representatives addressed the trainees with welcome. The morning was rounded off with getting-to-know-you games and the handing over of work clothes before lunch was served.

“You are the first apprentice cohort to experience the new NETZSCH Campus first hand. This offers you the unique opportunity to actively shape newly emerging processes and structures from the very beginning.”
In the afternoon, the new apprentices met Jens Heidkötter, Managing Director of NETZSCH Pumps & Systems. In his speech, he focused on the new NETZSCH Campus and the resulting opportunities for the newcomers: “You are the first apprentice cohort to experience the new NETZSCH Campus first hand. This offers you the unique opportunity to actively shape newly emerging processes and structures from the very beginning. With a new, state-of-the-art training factory and an independent learning and recreation container for the trainees, we at NETZSCH will ensure training at the highest level in the future as well, so that you will be optimally prepared for your career path”, said Heidkötter. Afterwards, the day was rounded off with a guided tour of the factory premises.

Teambuilding in the Skyline Park
The next day, much more information followed before the new apprentices left for their respective departments.
In the second week, another highlight is on the agenda. After the annual trainee excursion could only be held as a day trip in the past two years due to the Corona pandemic, the new apprentices, together with their trainers and the youth and training representatives, finally set off again for a two-day excursion. The main focus is on team building. The highlight of the trip is a visit to Skyline Park.
Dear apprentices welcome to the NETZSCH family!
