Pontoon

A pontoon is a particular type of floating platform or floating device used to carry loads or provide support for various purposes. 

Pontoons usually consist of a stable, flat platform or housing that may be filled with air or waterproof materials to ensure it floats on the water's surface. Pontoons are used in shipping, construction, marine infrastructure, entertainment, military and many other applications. Their ability to float on water and carry loads makes them extremely useful and versatile. Depending on their size and construction, pontoons can be used temporarily and permanently.
