PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a highly durable plastic known for its exceptional chemical resistance and low friction. It is characterised by high temperature resistance, excellent non-stick properties and outstanding electrical insulation.

In pump technology, PTFE is often used for seals, diaphragms and coatings, especially in applications requiring aggressive chemicals or high temperatures. Due to its non-stick surface, PTFE is ideal for contact with viscous or solid-containing media, as deposits and adhesions are minimised. In addition, it is physiologically harmless and used in the food and pharmaceutical industry.
