Medium With Solids

A medium with solids is a liquid containing solid particles in different concentrations and sizes. Such media occur in many industrial processes, such as wastewater technology, food processing or mining.

The solids contained can have abrasive, fibrous or sedimenting properties, which places unique demands on the conveyor technology. To ensure reliable pumping, pump systems must be specially designed to avoid blockages, increased wear or uneven flow.
