Day of Apprenticeship at NETZSCH: "A Great Success!"

"All in all, the day couldn't have been better for us", says Maximilian Huber, team leader industrial training, about the first day of apprenticeship at NETZSCH Pumps & Systems in Waldkraiburg. Almost 300 children and young people, along with their parents, showed up at the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg on May 13th 2023, to learn about training at the global specialist for handling complex media.

“Pump up your future” was the motto of the first day of apprenticeship at NETZSCH, and the visitors were excited about the various training opportunities.

Many exciting things were offered for the children and adolescents at the new NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg. In addition to guided tours through the production, assembly and logistics departments and the new office worlds on the factory premises in Geretsriederstraße, the youngsters could talk to apprentices and their trainers about the various apprenticeships at NETZSCH. These include apprenticeships for industrial mechanics, industrial clerks, industrial electronics technicians, warehouse logistic experts, process technicians, IT specialists, and technical product designers. In addition, the young people were able to prove their manual skills and had much fun.

Together with current apprentices, the future generation could try their hand at thread cutting and build a small bottle opener themselves or dive into the virtual NETZSCH world. The various pump technologies and their benefits were presented using VR glasses, and entire pumps were assembled, generating great interest among the children and their parents. “We are overwhelmed by the interest and enthusiasm of the visitors. The day of apprenticeship was a complete success”, says a delighted Barbara Wieser, responsible for apprenticeships at NETZSCH. In addition to the different apprenticeships, there were free drinks, delicious pizza, and crêpe. There was also an XXL dartboard, where knowing how to kick a ball was necessary, which provided much fun.

At the end of the day, those responsible reviewed the day in a convivial atmosphere with barbecued food and cool drinks. “The high number of participants and the interest shown by the young people have confirmed our plans. Our special thanks go to all those who supported us. This was certainly not the last day of apprenticeship at NETZSCH”, Maximilian is pleased to say.
