Hands-on technology on the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg! For the fourth time, NETZSCH Pumps & Systems held its Day of Apprenticeship on Saturday, 9 May, with the slogan “Pump up your future”. As in previous years, countless young people and their accompanying adults gathered on the company premises.
In addition to a varied programme offering practical insights into apprenticeship roles, there were two real highlights in store for the children and young people. Both the young people and their carers were delighted.

Whether you’re interested in technology, have a business background or are passionate about IT, there is something for everyone. In total, NETZSCH in Waldkraiburg offers six different apprenticeship programmes: Industrial Mechanic, Industrial Clerk, Warehouse Logistics Specialist, Plastics and Rubber Technologist, IT Specialist and Technical Product Designer. In the training workshop, participants were able to get hands-on and demonstrate their manual skills in thread cutting. “We place great importance on giving young people practical insights at an early stage and fostering their individual strengths”, explains Maximilian Huber, Team Leader Vocational Training. “This is how we lay the foundations for a successful start to their professional careers.” Guided tours of the production, assembly, logistics and modern office areas were also offered, providing exciting behind-the-scenes glimpses. Special highlights this year included the talking robot and the “Spezipump” built by the apprentices themselves. Guests were also able to immerse themselves in the virtual NETZSCH world and, using VR headsets, experience various application scenarios and pump technologies up close and interactively.
Hands-on experience, discussion and enthusiasm

Together with their parents, the young people took the opportunity to find out about the wide range of opportunities available at the global specialist in handling complex media. In addition to hands-on technology, the focus was above all on personal interaction. Questions regarding the various apprenticeship programmes were answered in detail. “We aim to provide young people with guidance and give them an authentic insight into the world of apprenticeships at NETZSCH”, emphasises Christina Stanka, HR Specialist Learning. The day was rounded off by a varied programme of activities, featuring free drinks, pizza and crêpes, as well as an XXL dartboard providing additional entertainment.
With its Day of Apprenticeship, NETZSCH once again highlights the company’s commitment to nurturing young talent and creates a platform where potential apprentices can not only learn about their professional future but also get a feeling for the various opportunities on offer.
