Shaping the Future: 14 Apprentices Begin Their Training at NETZSCH
The future is now! This is certainly true for the 14 young people who began their apprenticeships on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, on the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg, thus taking their first steps into working life.
Within the next few years, they will be trained in five different apprenticeship programmes at NETZSCH Pumps & Systems, the global specialist in handling complex media, to become specialists helping to shape the pump technology of tomorrow. In addition to three apprentices training to become industrial clerks, eight industrial mechanics, one technical product designer and one warehouse logistics specialist, there is also an IT specialist for application development.
The future starts here and now

Excitement, curiosity and anticipation characterised the atmosphere at the Wolfgang Netzsch Arena, where Rita Buchner, Director of Human Resources, welcomed the new apprentices on Tuesday morning: “You have made a conscious decision to pursue a career, to undertake an apprenticeship and to join NETZSCH, thereby taking the first step towards your professional future. This future is not some distant prospect. It begins here and now. We aim to provide you with the tools, the time and the trust you need to achieve this. What you make of it is entirely up to you. We look forward to supporting you on this journey.” After all, at NETZSCH, an apprenticeship isn’t just about mastering an apprenticeship, it’s about taking on responsibility right from the start.
Settling in, getting to know the place, getting started
Following the welcome, the programme began with a focus on health, safety and quality management. The management team, the works council and the youth and trainee representatives subsequently introduced themselves, before a group icebreaker game helped to lighten the atmosphere. In the afternoon, the trainees were equipped with workwear, took part in a photo shoot and enjoyed lunch together. Finally, with support from the IT department, the trainees set up their technical equipment and were given a presentation providing key information about the company and the training programme. It is no coincidence the day alternated between technical fundamentals and getting to know one another personally: Anyone helping to shape the future must get to know the company and the people behind it. Both begin on the very first day.

Following the induction, Anna Thaller, Georg Brandlhuber, Johanna Thurnhuber, Julian Timo Meinold, Luca Huber, Luka Biedermann, Magdalena Sophia Götz, Maximilian Uschold, Paul Sassin, Sebastian Hohenwarter, Simeon Kettner, Simon Greithanner, Simon Wimmer and Veronika Hofmann headed off to their respective future departments – the places where theory becomes practice. However, they won’t be staying there for long to begin with: The annual excursion with all the trainees is already scheduled for 3 and 4 September. This year’s trip takes them to the Berchtesgadener Land and offers a great opportunity to get to know their new colleagues away from the daily grind of work.
