The gold certificate was awarded for the successful participation in the third and final stage of the BME certification programme, which verifies a company's purchasing.

During the certification of the purchasing department by the BME, this was once again highlighted with obtaining the gold certificate. “We are proud that the BME has awarded our procurement organisation the highest level. This shows that NETZSCH lives up to environmental protection and sustainability concepts. At NETZSCH and its strategic partners, the topic goes well beyond compliance with regular regulations”, says Rudolf Hargasser, head of procurement logistics. The BME was founded in 1954 and is a leading trade association and network partner for purchasing, supply chain and logistics managers in Germany and Europe. It has a total of 9,750 members in 38 association regions. These include countless companies from all industries and sectors, from individual companies to medium-sized businesses to corporate groups.

Procurement organisation successfully certified
To achieve the highest level of procurement certification, numerous different criteria and measures must be fulfilled. These include, among others, proof of a sustainable procurement strategy, the presentation of goals and guiding principles, a procurement risk analysis, and an action guideline for sustainable procurement. In addition, the third stage includes an on-site audit. Independent consultants checked the implementation of the sustainability programme in the company and how it is lived out.
NETZSCH also assumes social responsibility outside of the procurement organisation and is committed to contributing to developing a sustainable future because we are aware of our social and ecological responsibility.
