SIP

SIP means “Sterilisation in Place”. It is a process in industrial plants in which the sterilisation of pipes, tanks and other equipment takes place directly at their place of use without having to dismantle them.

SIP is often used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and food production, where a sterile environment is crucial. While CIP (Cleaning in Place) aims to clean equipment, SIP focuses on sterilising this equipment to ensure sterility and guarantee the safety of pharmaceutical or food processing operations.
