Stator
A stator is the stationary counterpart to the Rotorrotor,Rotors, rotorsrotor in a pump and plays a central role in its function and efficiency.
It is found in progressive cavity pumps and is the stationary component where the rotor rotates eccentrically. The stator is typically made of an elastic material, forming a tight fit around the rotor. This combination enables a tight seal and uniform medium delivery through the pump. The choice of material and geometry of the stator is crucial to ensure high wear resistance, resistance to chemical influences and long service life. The stator contributes significantly to the reliable and efficient performance of the pump, wildly when pumping viscous, abrasive or corrosive media.
